Your support makes all the difference.: Sir: The Nazis slaughtered 6 million Jews with the horrendous intention of destroying an entire people. To designate one day a year to commemorate this vast human atrocity is not, as your unworthy leading article (1 July) suggests, a "token". It shows dignified and deserved determination never to forget the murderous past.
The Holocaust lessons have not been learnt. Both for the sake of the sufferers and survivors and as a signal for the future, a Holocaust Remembrance Day could not be more appropriate in the era of Kosovo, Rwanda and Cambodia.
