Over the past few years Britain has adopted a wait-and-see policy. Politicians have run scared of the tabloid press. But now, the actual existence of the euro forces us to decide how to act to prevent the UK being pushed to the periphery of Europe, and the loss of political influence that implies. We call on the Government to set a date for British entry into the euro. Young people's jobs depend upon it.
