The launch date for Xbox’s next-generation consoles, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, is just days away.
To mark the occasion, the gaming giant has announced a launch event which will be livestreamed on Monday evening (9 November).
Beginning at 6pm GMT, the show will be hosted by Xbox On, and will count down to the launch of the Xbox Series consoles at midnight.
The pre-launch show is comprised of new Xbox Series X gameplay from several of the launch titles, and the opportunity for viewers to win prizes through “live interactive challenges”.
At midnight, Xbox will present a holographic display set against the skyline of London.
Among the games being displayed are open-world Viking game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Japanese crime RPG Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Sea of Thieves, the popular piratical adventure game released on Xbox One in 2015.
Sea of Thieves is one of many games receiving a visual and technical upgrade for next-gen consoles as part of Xbox’s Smart Delivery system.
Those wanting to catch the livestream can view it on Twitch here on Monday evening.
