Your support makes all the difference.There are currently two Three Musketeer films in the works in Hollywood at different studios. Director Paul W.S. Anderson ( Resident Evil) will direct one of them which has just seen the casting addition of Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz ( Inglourious Basterds) as the villainous Cardinal Richelieu.
This version of The Three Musketeers, from the story based on Alexandre Dumas's classic tale, will be shot in 3D, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The swashbuckling heroes are Ray Stevenson who plays Porthos, Luke Evans ( Clash of the Titans) in the role of Athos, and Matthew Macfadyen who portrays Aramis. As the aspiring young Musketeer who leaves home to fight forces for the French king, D'Artagnan is played by Logan Lerman ( Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief).
The film also stars Anderson's wife Milla Jovovich ( Zoolander) who plays Milady de Winter, Mads Mikkelsen ( Casino Royale) who plays Rochefort, and Orlando Bloom is in consideration as the Duke of Buckingham.
Upcoming projects for Waltz include Michel Gondry's The Green Hornet and Water For Elephants with Robert Pattinson.
Stevenson ( The Book of Eli) appears in the upcoming cop comedy The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and as Volstagg in Marvel's Thor. Evans plays Zeus in Tarsem Singh's Immortals in 3D.
The other version of the Three Musketeers to be cast soon, will be directed by Doug Liman of the Bourne Identity films.
