The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince Harry, were guests at the premiere, where they were met by director Sam Mendes.
The star of the film, Bond actor Daniel Craig, was the first to arrive. He told red carpet host Rick Edwards: "It's just fantastic to see everybody out tonight. I'm not overwhelmed, I'm very excited and I can't wait for people to see the movie."
Signing autographs for fans before heading inside, Craig was followed by cast members Naomie Harris, Christoph Waltz, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and newcomers Andrew Scott, Dave Bautista and Bond girls Lea Seydoux and Monica Belluci.
When asked about being a Bond girl, French actress Seydoux quipped to Edwards: "I can't really believe it, but I don't know if I'm a Bond girl, I'm just a blonde girl."
The film opened in British cinemas on 26 October, on the same day as the premiere for the very first time in the history of the films.
It's the 24th instalment in the series, and sees Bond fighting Ernst Stavro Blofeld's shadowy criminal network SPECTRE, in a throwback to the older movies.
It's a glamourous night for the cast, but they might not be indulging in too much champagne - Naomie Harris, reprising her role as Miss Moneypenny, said: "We're all off to Zurich tomorrow to do another premiere, so I think we'll all be tucked up into bed straight away."
