Your support makes all the difference.British historical drama "The King's Speech" won its second awards boost in days Thursday, taking four nominations from the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
"The Fighter," about a young Irish-American boxer, also earned four nods for the SAGs awards, while lesbian parenting movie "The Kids are Alright" and ballet-themed thriller "Black Swan" garnered three nominations each.
Facebook blockbuster "The Social Network" won two nominations, as did "True Grit" starring Jeff Bridges and "Winter's Bone" for the SAGs, whose nominations were announced two days after the Golden Globe announcements.
The SAG award winners will be announced in a live show on January 30.
"The King's Speech," about George VI's stammer, took seven nods for the Globes on Tuesday, while "The Social Network" and "The Fighter" both garnered six Globes nominations.
Both the Golden Globes and the SAGs are seen as key indicators to which movies will do well in the Academy Awards, the top Hollywood movie prizes whose Oscar statuettes are handed out in February.
In Thursday's announcements, best ensemble cast performance - the SAGs equivalent of best film - went to "The King's Speech," "The Fighter," "The Kids are Alright," "Black Swan" and "The Social Network."
Best actor nods went to Bridges for "True Grit," Robert Duvall for "Get Low," Jesse Eisenberg for his turn as Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Network," Colin Firth for "The King's Speech," and James Franco in "127 Hours."
Best actress nominees were Annette Bening for lesbian mom in "The Kids are Alright," Nicole Kidman in "Rabbit Hole," Jennifer Lawrence in "Winter's Bone," Nathalie Portman in "Black Swan," and Hilary Swank in "Conviction."
The contenders for best supporting actor are Christian Bale for "The Fighter," John Hawkes for "Winter's Bone," Jeremy Renner for "The Town," Mark Ruffalo for "The Kids Are All Right" and Geoffrey Rush for "The King's Speech."
On the actress side, supporting nominations went to Amy Adams for "The Fighter," Helena Bonham-Carter for "The King's Speech," Mila Kunis for "Black Swan," Melissa Leo for "The Fighter" and Hailee Steinfeld for "True Grit."
The SAGs are chosen by the Guild's more than 100,000 members. The Golden Globes are selected by Hollywood Foreign Press Association members, while the Oscars are chosen by the elite Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Scientists.
