Roland Emmerich's latest apocalyptic epic is so ludicrous that you guess he must have researched it by watching old Jerry Zucker spoofs.

Channing Tatum plays John Cale, an ex-soldier who just happens to be in the White House, taking his daughter on a tour, when it is overrun by terrorists.

He leaps into action to save the President (Jamie Foxx) and avert a world war.
