The hero is young Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) who learn that dragons are essentially flying, fire-breathing dogs. This is a beautifully animated comedy with an uncluttered, irresistible story, as opposed to Dreamworks's typical formula of pop songs, wisecracking rodents, and endless allusions to other films.
