DVD/Blu-ray: Battleship (12)

"I've got a bad feeling about this," admits Taylor Kitsch's weakly drawn hero, Alex, an hour into this cliché-ridden actioner. Alex has already witnessed his brother being blown up by an alien invasion force, so you'd think that bad feeling would have kicked in earlier. The hunk starts out as a no-good bum until his over-protective bro informs he's "joining the Navy". Before long, he's a maverick lieutenant (unlikely) fending off aliens. Liam Neeson and Rihanna also sleepwalk through this salty hogwash.
