Rebel Wilson's most famous roles, Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect and incestuous sister Brynn in Bridesmaids, have made the Australian actress a rising star in American comedies. It's as if she was born to make you laugh.
Yet with her reprisal of Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect 2, it seems Wilson is readying herself for more serious avenues in Hollywood.
Fat Amy remains one of Wilson's "proudest creations," yet she admits the sassy, over-confident Amy of the first film develops "more depth" in the second movie.
As much as her great creation's love of musicals mirrors her own interests (she got her big break with Bogan Pride, an Australian musical comedy TV series), Wilson is keen to attempt more serious film projects, although she was disappointed not to be chosen for the new Ghostbusters movie.
