Dakota Johnson will present an award at this year’s Oscars fresh from her big screen debut in Fifty Shades of Grey.

The Anastasia Steele actress, who has been lauded by critics for her breakthrough performance, will present an Oscar alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Murphy, Chris Evans Chloë Grace Moretz and Margot Robbie.

Fifty Shades of Grey, which is directed by acclaimed artist-turned-director Sam Taylor-Johnson, was not eligible to be nominated for an Oscar due to its late release date.

The film has divided opinion among critics with the majority giving the film either two or four stars.

Johnson, who is the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, has previously appeared in The Social Network and 21 Jump Street.

Fifty Shades of Grey actress Rita Ora, who plays Christian Grey’s sister Mia, will also be performing at the Oscars.

Other actors previously confirmed to present awards at this year’s Oscars include David Oyelowo, Jennifer Aniston, Sienna Miller, John Travolta, Kerry Washington and Chris Pratt.

The 87th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday 22 February. Viewers in the UK can watch the ceremony on Sky’s dedicated pop-up channel Sky Movies Oscars.
