Your support makes all the difference.Inception director Christopher Nolan ( The Dark Knight) will attend the Los Angeles Film Festival, June 17-27. He joins Hollywood celebrities like actors Ben Affleck, Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow, and producer Roger Corman and more.
Nolan will introduce a screening of Pink Floyd the Wall, and then discuss the impact the film had on his own work. Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow ( The Hurt Locker) will be the Guest Director of the LA Film Festival and attend the annual Filmmaker Retreat at Skywalker Ranch in Northern California.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World director Edgar Wright will join writer/director/producer J.J. Abrams ( Star Trek, Lost) to discuss the film starring Michael Cera. Directors Jay and Mark Duplass will be there to screen and discuss Cyrus with Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei.
Other participants include directors Richard Kelly ( Donnie Darko) and Adam Shankman ( Hairspray) on a panel about "the power of the tweet." Actress Rosanna Arquette, for a screening of Desperately Seeking Susan (which co-starred Madonna), and composer Moby are also on the program.
The festival opens Thursday night with the premiere of The Kids Are Alright costarring Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo, and directed by Lisa Cholodenko ( High Art, Laurel Canyon).
