Earlier this year, the studio announced the highly anticipated The New Mutants — an X-Men spin-off which already has a trailer on the Internet — would be delayed almost an entire year.
The Josh Boone-directed flick has now been delayed an additional six months, until the 2 August 2019 according to Deadline.
Another X-Men film, Dark Phoenix (starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, and Sophie Turner), has also been pushed back, moving from 2 November 2018 to 14 February 2019.
Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody has instead been bumped up to a 2 November 2018 release date, having previously been scheduled for 25 December.
The movie was originally doing to be directed by Bryan Singer — the filmmaker being fired midway through the shoot and Dexter Fletcher taking over.
An adaptation of Don Winslow’s The Force has been put on hold indefinitely, while Joe Cornish’s epic The Kid Who Would Be King has been delayed until 1 March 2019.
Finally, the animated movie Spies in Disguise, featuring the voices of Tom Holland and Will Smith, has been moved to 12 April 2019, as has the Roxann Dawson-directed faith-based movie Breakthrough.
