Following on from last year's surprise releases of 10 Cloverfield Lane and Blair Witch, A24 - the studio behind independent hits Swiss Army Man and American Honey - has dropped a mysterious trailer for a brand new sci-fi film that nobody knows anything about.
The only hint is what seems to be the tagline which is written in the bio section of the YouTube video: "In our near future."
There's not even any word on a title, but the enigmatic trailer features several ambiguous phrases, including: "Beyond reality," "Realise feeling," "Feel bare" and "Change identity."
One look at the studio's extensive list of credits and the only film it seems it could bare any relation to is Alex Garland's 2015 film Ex Machina which stars Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac and Alicia Vikander. Others are speculating it could be the new film from Shane Carruth, the director behind mindbending films Primer and Upstream Color. Whatever the project is, it has film fans squabbling with excitement.
This untitled film will be released on - well... we don't know.
