From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Tom Hanks shared a touching behind-the-scenes photo to mark his final recording session for the upcoming Toy Story 4.

The actor is reprising his role as pull-string cowboy doll Woody in the fourth instalment of the franchise, which is set to hit cinemas in June 2019.

He posted an image of himself along with the rest of the team, as he was apparently delivering his last line of the movie into a microphone.

"Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4. We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond," Hanks wrote next to the image.

Toy Story 4 is set to be released nine years after its predecessor and 24 years after the original 1995 Toy Story.

Hanks has voiced Woody in each of the four films.

The rest of the voice cast of Toy Story 4 includes Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, and Annie Potts as Bo Peep (returning to the franchise after an absence from Toy Story 3).

Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peel are joining as new characters, and actor Keanu Reeves has a small part in the movie.

Allen has previously described the final scene of Toy Story 4 as highly emotional, telling The Talk he couldn't get through it at first.
