Your support makes all the difference.She wowed Golden Globes viewers with her co-hosting back in January and now, US comedian Tina Fey has been confirmed to produce and star in the film adaptation of The Taliban Shuffle.
Based on Kim Barker’s bestselling memoir of the same name, the movie will recount a journalist's "strange days" in Afghanistan and Pakistan during 2002, despite a title suggesting something more akin to Psy's "Gangnam Style".
Barker underwent a series of challenges when placed in Kabul, as she could speak no foreign languages and had no clue how to travel (or "shuffle") between the two countries. Although plagued by concerns for the region’s prospects, she grew to love the lands she ended up in.
Robert Carlock, who collaborated with Fey on award-winning satirical sitcom 30 Rock, is writing the screenplay. A director has yet to be attached to the project, industry insider The Wrap reports.
Fey, who is currently occupied with NBC and Fox comedy pilots, stars in Disney's forthcoming Muppets Most Wanted, due in UK cinemas on 28 March.
Audiences will also be able to catch her in the film adaptation of Jonathan Tropper's This Is Where I Leave You, which has yet to be assigned a UK release date.
