Yet, James Gunn’s blockbuster could be dethroned within the month. Against the odds, Thor: Ragnarock looks utterly hilarious, the trailer teasing a Thor instalment completely unlike the first two.
Unsurprisingly, the behind-the-scenes video shows the cast and crew having colossal amounts of fun living out director Taika Waititi’s vision.
“Tonally, I think it’s the perfect mix for where this character and story needs to go,” says leading star Chris Hemsworth. “Different costumes, different weapons, different cast or character to work off, it gives you a different energy.” Watch the new clip below.
Recently, the international trailer for Ragnarok was released, revealing another certain superhero’s upcoming cameo in the movie.
Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Idris Elba, Tessa Thompson, Mark Ruffalo, Karl Urban and Anthony Hopkins also star.
Thor: Ragnarok hits UK cinemas 24 October.
