Natalie Portman, who played Jane in the Thor films, confirmed the news in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, saying she is ‘done’ with Marvel, for now at least.
"As far as I know, I'm done [with the Marvel Cinematic Universe],” she told the publication. "I don't know if maybe one day they'll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever, I have no idea. But as far as I know, I'm done. But it was a great thing to be a part of.”
With the door still open, perhaps Portman will return one day, yet with future roles in Terrence Malick’s Weightless, playing Jackie Kennedy in Jackie, and Xavier Dolan’s The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, the Oscar-winning actor’s schedule is pretty busy.
Meanwhile, Marvel has been accused of ‘whitewashing’ the role of The Ancient One in Doctor Strange, something Tilda Swinton recently commented on.
