The adaptation of the novel by Nicholas Sparks, in the vein of his romantic drama The Notebook. Featuring Amanda Seyfried ( Mamma Mia!), Channing Tatum ( G.I. Joe), and Richard Jenkins ( Burn After Reading), it follows the timeless tale of love between a soldier and the young woman he leaves behind.
