The 43-year-old star of Bad Grandpa and Jackass will be joined in the studio by Tony Shalhoub, who shall be voicing Splinter, Deadline reports.
During filming, the physical parts were played by Pete Ploszek and Danny Woodburn, with Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Alan Ritchson and William Fichtner also starring.
But Paramount Pictures and director Jonathan Liebesman have always been open to recasting some of the voices after shooting wrapped.
As of yet, no new voice actors have been announced, but Freddie Prinze Jr, Russell Brand and Corey Feldman have all been tipped.
“From their home in the storm sewers of Manhattan, four Ninjisu-trained turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello and their sensei, Master Splinter, battle evil,” an IMDB synopsis reads.
The first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debuted last Thursday to mixed reactions from comic book fans. The new turtle design has been described as a “testicle that has been living down a storm drain for 300 years”.
“Heroes are not born, they’re created,” the teaser declares.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is due for release in UK cinemas on 17 October.
