From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Seth MacFarlane's hotly-awaited sequel Ted 2 has got its first full-length trailer and by the looks of things, the bear in question is as naughty as ever.

The Universal movie is expected to be one of the biggest hits of 2015 after the first film grossed a massive $550 million worldwide to be named the most successful original R-rated comedy ever.

"Happily ever after only exists in fairytales, yet a talking teddy bear is about to marry his girlfriend. Proving that Americans don't give a c**p about anything," a voiceover reads.

MacFarlane provides the foul-mouthed lead character's voice, while Mark Wahlberg returns as John Bennett. Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried also star.

The storyline follows newlyweds Tami-Lynn and, err, Ted as they try to have a baby. In order to be eligible for parenthood, however, Ted must prove he is a real person in a court of law.

Footage from Ted 2 featuring New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is set to air during this weekend's Super Bowl, according to The Hollywood Reporter, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Ted 2 reaches UK cinemas on 10 July 2015.
