From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Following on from directing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and both upcoming Avengers films, you would expect Joe and Anthony Russo to perhaps take a long earned break.

Not so, as the duo are already lining up future projects. According to Deadline, The Russo Brothers are setting up a production company, the first release being a feature from Swiss Army Man directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan (aka The Daniels).

While details surrounding the project are being kept under wraps, the science fiction flick is reportedly “as original as Swiss Army Man,” the Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano starring film that won the duo best dramatic directing honours at Sundance festival.

The Russos, The Daniels, and Jonathan Wang - who partnered on Swiss Army Man - will produce, the script having been written by Scheinert and Kwan.

Meanwhile, The Russo Brothers are busy working on Avengers: Infinity War, which is currently filming at Pinewood Studios, Atlanta. The ensemble film is rumoured to be the most expensive film ever made.
