From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. If you’ve never seen the Star Wars films but don’t have enough time to watch all six previous films, fret not.
One brilliant fan has put all the films side by side, allowing you to watch them all the way through in just 2 hours 22 minutes and 25 seconds.
Admittedly it is all a bit of mess, with the opening credits sounding more like primary school students attempting to play the iconic theme rather than a real orchestra. Watch below.
However, it does give some insight into how each of the films mirror each other in some capacity. All of them start with a shot of a spaceship, they nearly all quite down around the 40-minute mark picking up again 20 minutes later.
The best moments, however, come towards the end of the video, as all the films enter into their respected climatic battles. It’s loud, full-on, and lightsaber filled. Notably, all of them feature Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker in some capacity.
The Force Awakens has had its world premiere in LA, with the reaction being overwhelmingly positive. You can watch all the red carpet action here, and check out the reactions (spoiler free) here.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens reaches UK cinemas 17 December.
