From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Rogue One featured numerous references to previous main-saga Star Wars movies, including both major (Darth Vader) and minor (Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba) characters.

Unsurprisingly, the next upcoming spin-off, Solo: A Star Wars Story, will include multiple reference to previous movies, including a hint towards Rogue One.

Eagle-eyed Star Wars fans have spotted a certain character in the background of one scene in the new trailer. Take a look at the photo below.

Notice that body to the right of Solo? Well, that belongs to Tam Posla, a former lawman turned Bounty Hunter who appeared wandering the streets of Jedha in Rogue One, as well as the Doctor Aphra comics.

More information about the character was revealed in the Rogue One Ultimate Visual Guide. See a more detailed photo of Posla below.

What that means for Solo: A Star Wars Story is anyone’s guess. However, Posla currently holds the title of being the only character to appear in both Anthology movies.

Meanwhile, Solo will premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, the Star Wars movie reaching cinemas in the UK on the 24 May.
