Your support makes all the difference.Following the release of the negatively reviewed Book of Henry, many Star Wars fans have questioned whether Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow should helm the highly-anticipated ninth instalment.
Interviewers were quick to question the director, asking whether things were moving forward as planned, Trevorrow insisting he’s still the person for the job.
The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Jack Thorne — the acclaimed English screenwriter, best known for work on Skins, This Is England, and the Harry Potter stage play Cursed Child — has been brought on board to rewrite Episode IX.
Trevorrow and writing partner Derek Connolly have been feverishly working on the script, sources telling the publication that a “fresh set of eyes was needed”.
While it remains unclear how extensive the rewrites will be, the news will no doubt be another knock to the fandom’s confidence in Trevorrow. With Thorne's impressive back catalogue, people should be somewhat less worried.
Meanwhile, snippets of information regarding the unreleased Episode XIII — written and directed by Rian Johnson — have been hitting the Internet.
