From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Sarah Jessica Parker has promised "amazing things" for the sequel to Sex And The City: The Movie.

"It's been two years, and in two years, amazing things can happen - things you never thought would happen in a million years," she says in the trailer for the film.

Sarah Jessica - who plays New York columnist Carrie Bradshaw - teased: "But just when you think you've seen it all, it hits you - you haven't seen anything yet."

The trailer, featuring a montage of New York landmarks and set to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' hit Empire State Of Mind, sees Carrie stepping out of the New York home she shares with Big (Chris Noth) in a white dress and sunglasses, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) embracing motherhood with her daughter, and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) chatting up a younger-looking suave guy.

"Sometimes you just have to get away with the girls," Sarah Jessica added.

The girls look like they have a trip to remember in the sequel - with scenes flashing back to the past, and scenes set in Morocco.

There's also a wedding - but whose could it be?

Sex And The City 2 will be released on May 28 2010.
