Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Secret Cinema has revealed its next immersive cinema experience – its take on James Bond, one of the most successful British film franchises ever.

Guests will have a chance to step into the world of Casino Royale (2006), which first introduced Daniel Craig as 007 and saw him foil a terrorist organisation planning to raise funds through a high stakes poker game.

The film, directed by Martin Campbell, also starred Eva Green as a Bond girl with a difference, Vesper Lynd, and Mads Mikkelsen as villain Le Chiffre.

Guests will be recruited as part of "Operation Wild Card", joining either Q Branch or M Branch, and will receive an alias, dress code, and training suggestions to help them prepare for their high stakes mission.

With previous events bringing to life the worlds of Blade Runner and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet, Secret Cinema's take on Casino Royale will mark the largest indoor event yet, with an audience of 1,500 taking part in the show each night.

Angus Jackson, Creative Director of Secret Cinema presents Casino Royale said: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to bring-to-life such an iconic film franchise and character. Casino Royale is a rich territory for us to explore from the characters to the plot and locations. Our audience will be given the opportunity to understand what it takes to embody modern espionage - bringing them closer to the Bond experience than ever before.

The event will open on 29 May 2019 and run into the summer, based in a secret London location.

Tickets will go on sale at 12:00 (GMT) on 6 December. The experience will run between Wednesday - Sunday each week, with tickets priced between £40 - £175 plus booking fees.
