Universal will donate profits to Reach Out Worldwide after his death
Your support helps us to tell the story
My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.
Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.
Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

Part of the proceeds from Universal’s upcoming DVD release of Fast and Furious 6 will go to its late star Paul Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
The actor died in a car crash near Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon while en route to a fundraising event.
Reach Out Worldwide, which works to heighten relief efforts and give local people hope after natural disasters, was founded by walker in the wake of the Haiti earthquake in January 2010.
Donations to the charity have flooded in following the news of Walker’s death, with operations manager JD Dorfman thanking fans for their “overwhelming” outpouring of compassion.
“People have offered to hold car rallies to raise money to keep Paul’s legacy alive,” he told E! News. “We have received on average 20 calls an hour wanting to help.”
Universal Pictures decided to put DVD proceeds towards the cause in honour of “a man who spent a great deal of his life in service to others”.
“We keep Paul’s memory alive and honour his legacy through continued support of Reach Out Worldwide,” said chairman Donna Langley. “We share in the deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love him.”
The Fast and Furious 6 DVD will go on sale in the US on 10 December, with Walker in the lead as ex-cop Brian O’Connor who joins an illegal street racing team.
Production for the seventh instalment of the car action franchise has been suspended due to the horrific accident but was originally scheduled for release in July 2014.
