As part of a new partnership with independent film company A24, known for critically acclaimed releases like Moonlight and Hereditary, the corporation will release Coppola’s next film, On the Rocks, Variety reports.
Rashida Jones will star alongside Murray, who first worked with Coppola on 2003’s Lost in Translation. The director also oversaw the actor’s Netflix special A Very Murray Christmas.
Coppola has also written the screenplay and will produce alongside Youree Henley, with Mitch Glazer and Roman Coppola serving as executive producers.
The story follows a young mother who reconnects with her larger-than-life playboy father on an adventure through New York.
Production is slated to start next month in New York and marks the second collaboration between Coppola and A24, following 2013’s The Bling Ring.
