Olivia Colman’s Best Actress win at this year’s Oscars ceremony has seen the British star enter the 007 betting race.

Days after beating Glenn Close to the trophy for her role in The Favourite, odds predicting she’ll replace Daniel Craig as James Bond have been slashed to 20/1

Betway has Colman appearing in Bond 25 – Craig’s final outing as the British spy – at 5/2.

Bond isn’t the only role that odds are predicting Colman could take on: according to Betway’s Alan Alger, people are putting money on her overtaking Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who.

Alger said: “Olivia Colman’s win at the Oscars completed a remarkable journey for the British actress and, if the past few months are anything to go by, she’s set for plenty more success.“

After winning the award, Colman delivered what many believe to be the best speech of this year’s Oscars – you can read it in full here.

She’ll next be seen playing Queen Elizabeth in the third season of Netflix drama The Crown alongside Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter and Josh O’Connor.
