Nicolas Cage’s ex-girlfriend, Vickie Park, has alleged that the actor was abusive during their relationship, while petitioning for a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife, Alice Kim.

Park, who claims she had been dating Cage since June of last year, alleges the 54-year-old “abused” her while he was “severely intoxicated” on 20 September in Vienna, where they had attended the Slash Film Festival. There were no further details on the abuse she claims Cage committed. Park also claimed Cage was struggling with “alcohol addiction, depression, and mental illness.”

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Park accused Kim, 33, of harassing and stalking her on social media, while also blaming her for inciting another alleged incident of abuse by Cage on 24 September, by “manipulating him by saying things such as ‘your intelligence level looks low with a disgusting woman like her.’”

“Her jealousy of my relationship with her ex-husband, my youth and physical appearance has drove [sic] her to take these actions of harassment,” Park wrote in her petition. “Her intentions were to subject him into more alcohol abuse and anger towards me while I was alone with him in our hotel room in London, England — right after the abuse incident in Vienna, Austria.”

Park has been denied the restraining order until a further court hearing later this month.

A representative for both Cage and Kim have said in a statement: “Nicolas and Alice Cage categorically deny the absurd allegations listed in the filing of a temporary restraining order against Alice Cage, which was denied by the court.” Cage and Kim married in July 2004 and separated in June 2016, although they are yet to complete divorce proceedings.

In 2011, Cage was taken into custody and charged with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace following an argument with Kim in New Orleans, although the local district attorney declined to press charges.
