Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

As May approaches, it's time to prepare for some of your favourite films and TV shows to leave Netflix.

The streaming platform has added Riverdale season 2, Taxi Driver and RuPaul's Drag Race season 10, however that does mean some film and TV pieces will be leaving.

Netflix Originals like the fourth season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Dear White People: Volume 2 will be added to the queue.

However when it comes to Netflix content being removed, Disney Channel Original Movies will be hit the hardest out of any genre.

Films like Cow Belles Camp Rock, The Cheetah Girls 1, 2 and 3 and High School Musical 1 and 2 will need to be watched elsewhere.

You'll also need to say goodbye to hit films like Ocean's 11, Goodfellas and Charlotte's Web.

High School Musical fans will luckily receive High School Musical 3: Senior Year on May 1 to hold them over.

There's still time to watch the listed film and TV shows until their departure dates.
