From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has revealed a new name for their pre-Avengers: Endgame films.

Phase One, Two and Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been branded "The Infinity Saga".

That includes Endgame itself, as well as every Marvel film since 2008's Iron Man.

"We wanted to bring to a conclusion a series of movies in a way that had never been done before," Feige told Empire magazine.

"Harry Potter had an ending because there were only so many books. Lord of the Rings, too. But we thought, 22 movies in, wouldn't it be fun to bring some finality to the storyline?"

Endgame can only add so much finality to the series, considering sequels to Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy are all coming. What label those films will come under remains unclear.

Avengers: Endgame reaches cinemas 26 April.
