Having managed to impress critics as Harley Quinn despite featuring in the much-malingered Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie remains at the centre of their plans.
Already, the actor is scheduled to appear in Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens, and an untitled Harley Quinn/Joker film. Speaking to MTV, Robbie revealed there’s also a Quinn solo-movie scheduled which she’s been working on for two years.
"I've been working on a separate spin-off for Harley for a while now," she said, calling the project “totally separate” from the other films currently being worked on.
While unsure about which project will reach cinemas next, Robbie spoke about her aspirations for the character, saying: “I want to see her with other women.
“I kept saying it while we were filming Suicide Squad, ‘she needs her girlfriends’. She loves meeting other people but she needs her girl gang.”
No release dates have been announced for any of the four Harley Quinn-featuring films. Meanwhile, Robbie will next appear in I, Tonya for which she has received some Oscar buzz.
