From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Leonardo DiCaprio has offered fans the chance to appear in Martin Scorsese’s next film alongside him and Robert De Niro.

The opportunity is part of the All In Challenge, in which celebrities auction experiences to raise funds for the elderly, children and frontline workers amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In an Instagram post, DiCaprio announced that he was offering one fan the chance to get a walk-on role in the upcoming film, Killers of the Flower Moon.

The winner will also get to spend a day on the set with DiCaprio, De Niro and Scorsese and will be invited to the movie’s premiere.

To enter the competition, fans need to head to allinchallenge.com and donate whatever they can.

The All In Challenge sees stars nominate each other to join the cause, with donations sent to Meals on Wheels America, No Kid Hungry and America's Food Fund.

DiCaprio and De Niro challenged Matthew McConaughey, Ellen DeGeneres and Jamie Foxx.

DeGeneres accepted and announced she would donate $1m to the fund, as did McConaughey who offered a chance to join him at a University of Texas football game.
