Leonardo DiCaprio says he’s “nauseated” by actors who complain about difficulties related to their careers.

The actor was discussing The Revenant, the film for which he won the Best Actor Oscar in 2016, in a recent interview with Deadline.

He was asked about the “ordeal” of the filming process, which DiCaprio has previously said involved some of the most difficult things he’s had to face in his career.

When the interviewer pointed out that filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu hasn’t directed a feature film since The Revenant, DiCaprio replied: “No, he hasn’t. We’ve been talking about some things. But in terms of gearing up for these things, I’m not going to give you a massive song and dance about the difficulties.

“I get nauseated when I hear people talk about how difficult the industry is. That makes me nauseous because we’re so f****** lucky to do what we do.”

He went on to acknowledge that filming The Revenant was “an exhausting experience”.

DiCaprio has entered the awards race for his performance as Rick Dalton in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood.

The role has earned him a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Perfomance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category.
