From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. If many of you assumed Neo - Reeves' character in The Matrix trilogy - to be the character of the actor's career, perhaps it's time to reassess: a video has surfaced showing Reeves hard at work for the upcoming John Wick sequel, looking extremely handy with a gun.
When John Wick was released in 2014, not many could have predicted the sleeper hit it would become, almost instantly earning a sequel in the process.
But it seems Reeves is relishing the opportunity to immerse himself in the role for a second time, as displayed in the video you can see below.
The video was released by Taran Tactical Innovations - a gun store based in LA.
Justifying the need for a sequel, Reeves told IGN: “For us it was just what is the next chapter? What is the continuation of this story? If the first one was a black belt, then this one is third degree black belt. It’s such a fun project and a great character.”
We wonder what the Shakespearean director who branded Keanu Reeves "a horrible actor" would make of the above video?
Filming has now completed on John Wick: Chapter 2 which will be released February 2017.
