At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The pair chatted about their respective lives in quarantine and, despite speaking for only three minutes, their names soon started trending on Twitter.
They acknowledged that they’re both big fans of each other’s work and joked that their chat was “pretty wild”.
“Dude, thank you for saying what you said about my documentary,” Bieber said, referencing Holland’s glowing review of the singer’s docuseries Seasons.
While thousands of fans managed to catch the moment, many chastised themselves for falling asleep before the encounter occurred.
One viewers branded it a more “ambitious crossover” than Avengers: Endgame, in which Holland plays Spider-Man.
Another tuned in because they thought the pair were going public with a feud, but were relieved when it turned out to simply be a “pure interaction”.
Then there was the contingent of people who criticised Holland for “supporting” Bieber – something that in itself received backlash from many of the Marvel actor’s fans.
“That was so random and I completely didn’t expect to see that,” one Twitter user wrote, with another adding: “This feels so wrong, like there’s nothing wrong with this but I feel shocked to my core.”
One person said it was “one of the good things this quarantine brought”.
Holland recently announced Spider-Man 3 would start production this summer. However, it’s unknown whether the shoot will be effected by coronavirus, which has caused the cancellation and delay of every film release since last month.
His video game adaptation of Uncharted has been pushed back by five months; it will now be released October 2021. Holland revealed that he was in Berlin for day one of shooting, but had been sent home.
