From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Jurassic Park 4, or Jurassic World as its been renamed, has released its first images from the set, but sadly there isn't a dinosaur in sight.

The three images instead feature, by turn, a director's chair, a banged up Jurassic Park truck and one of the lead actresses Bryce Dallas Howard.

Chris Pratt, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins will also star in the movie, which could form part of a wider plot arc that takes in further sequels.

"We definitely talked about [sequels] a lot," director Colin Trevorrow told Empire.

"We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story."

Trevorrow went on to say that a sequel could be centred around Omar Sy's character.

"He's essentially Chris Pratt's best friend," he said. "They work together and have some pretty cool action scenes together.

"I wanted to create a relationship there that could be memorable and potentially carry on to future films."

Jurassic World is currently in principal photography and has been slated for a 12 June, 2015 release date.
