Director Colin Trevorrow posted the promo photo on Twitter last night, along with a message reading “Happy holidays from the editing room. Do not try this at home”.
Set 22 years after 1993’s Jurassic Park, the upcoming sci-fi adventure focuses on the dinosaur theme park originally envisioned by John Hammond.
When a genetically-modified hybrid dinosaur is brought in to boost visitor rates, the new attraction backfires horrendously and before long it is running loose on Isla Nublar.
“Owen’s relationship with the raptors is complicated. They aren’t friends. These animals are nasty and dangerous and they’ll bite your head off if you make the wrong move,” Trevorrow told Slashfilm earlier this year.
“Chris Pratt’s character is doing behavioural research on the raptors. They aren’t trained, they can’t do tricks. He’s just trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between these highly intelligent creatures and human beings.”
The first Jurassic World trailer provoked the anger of scientists when it dropped in November, with some biologists criticising the anatomy of its CGI animals.
The movie is due for UK release on 22 June 2015.
