From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Throughout the Jurassic Park series, the actors have almost always been secondary to the dinosaurs. Many iconic beasts have dominated our screens, non-so-much as the T-Rex seen in Spielberg’s original film.

Already, filmmaker Colin Trevorrow — who directed Jurassic World — has confirmed Rexy will return for Jurassic World 2, which will be directed by A Monster Calls' J.A. Bayona.

Thanks to leaked on-set photos, we know another dinosaur will be returning for the sequel: the terrifying Dilophosaurus, AKA the venom spitting devil seen in Jurassic Park.

Scientists have found no real evidence that the Dilophosaurus actually spat venom or had the frills seen in the films — instead, they were much bigger and more reminiscent of Velociraptors.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Jones will reprise their roles from Jurassic World, while Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, and Justice Smith will also make appearances. Filming is currently taking place in London.

Jurassic World 2 is released 22 June with a third film already in development.
