Disney's latest live-action/CGI remake of a classic animated film comes in the form of The Jungle Book.
So far we’ve had glimpses of the film via two quite dark trailers, with the film’s first TV spot having just landed and it features one of the original's most famous and haunting scenes.
Titled ‘Trust’, the clip features the snake Kaa - voiced by Scarlett Johansson - as she sizes up the man-cub Mowgli and attempts to eat him.
Unlike in the original scene, Kaa is a little more sinister and Bagheera looks nowhere in sight to save the day. Watch the new clip above followed by the original scene below.
Previously, we’ve seen Bill Murray’s Baloo sing the refrain from the “Bare Necessities” in a trailer.
Jon Favreau, who directed Iron Man, will direct the newer version, which also features Idris Elba, Christopher Walken and Lupita Nyong’o. It will be a direct remake of the classic 1967 film of the same name.
The Jungle Book is set for release 15 April.
