From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum has been released.

Keanu Reeves star as the eponymous deadly assassin, who was last seen on the run following the events of John Wick: Chapter 2.

The title, Parabellum, refers to the second part of the famous sentence "Si vis pacem, para bellum", which translates to: "If you want peace, prepare for war.”

A teaser for the film was released earlier this week, alongside a new poster.

Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne and Lance Reddick all returning return for the upcoming sequel, with Halle Berry, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, Anjelica Huston, and Jason Mantzoukas joining the cast.

Speaking last year with The Independent, director Chad Stahelski hinting the upcoming sequel may be John Wick’s final outing.

“We are going to put in something about the High Table, how that all works,” he said. “We’re going to put in something about where John comes from, and where he wants to go. I don’t want to say too much more, but it will be a nice completion to Mr Wick’s journey.”

John Wick: Chapter 3 reaches cinemas 17 May 2019.
