At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Your support makes all the difference.Actor John Travolta has responded to a Reddit fan theory that Olivia Newton John's Sandy died, and Grease was a dream sequence.
The actor - who played Danny Zuko in the film - addressed the theory that contradicts Sandy's "Summer Nights" story in an interview with USA Today; however didn't elaborate on whether or not it was true.
"I love it; imaginations are awesome," he told the publication. "These things are bound to happen to something timeless like this. It's so fun."
Travolta added that Danny was exaggerating when it came to telling the story of saving Sandy's life.
"He's bragging; it was made up to impress the boys," he says.
"[Sandy and Danny] have two different stories and somebody is lying. Most likely, it's Danny."
The actor continued: "I could have fun with it. But I know the writers of Grease, and I was around in the original days. I can't take it too far."
Travolta added that he didn't "want to spoil the fun for everyone" though.
The theory that Sandy died began circulating back in 2013 when a Reddit user claimed that Danny didn't actually save her from drowning at the beach.
Instead, they claimed she died, making the movie Sandy's dying dream.
The user made a point of commenting on the magical ending of the movie when Danny and Sandy drive away in the red convertible that flies into the sky.
They did, however, say it wasn't "meant to be super-f******-serious" on the message board.
