Khal Drogo in heading under the sea in the upcoming Batman v Superman film.

Director Zach Snyder has released the first image of Jason Momoa dressed as the underworld DC hero.

“Unite the Seven” is thought to refer to Aquaman being king of the seven seas, as he is in the DC comic books.

It could also refer to the seven members of the Justice League after it was reported Snyder will use the upcoming Batman v Superman film to introduce the entire superhero squad.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The film is due to be released in the UK on 25 March 2016.

Momoa’s Aquaman is due to star in future Justice League films as well as the anticipated Batman Superman crossover movie.

The actor will also star in a stand-alone Aquaman film, due to be released in 2018.
