At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The 47-year-old has been notoriously tight-lipped over whether he will reprise the role. In one interview, however, he said he would rather “slash his wrists” than play 007 again.
However, it has emerged that producers are keen to get him back on board, all they need is to have a contract sorted.
Michael G Wilson, who co-produced all four Craig Bond films alongside Barbara Broccoli, told The Mirror: “We think we’ve got him but we don’t have a contract.”
Broccoli also hinted Craig will return, telling Vanity Fair: “Maybe I’m in denial, but I don’t want to think about another Bond.”
Spectre director Sam Mendes meanwhile will not return to the franchise for another film, telling Deadline: “There is a sense of completeness that wasn’t there at the end of Skyfall and that’s what makes this feel different.
"It feels like there’s a rightness to it, that I have finished a journey.”
He went on to comment on Craig’s “slashing wrists” comments, saying: “[My] analogy is, you’re running your first marathon, and 200 yards from the finish line, some guy shouts, ‘Are you going to run another one straight away?’ I get why Daniel responded the way he did.”
Spectre is currently showing in cinemas now.
