From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The trailer for It Chapter Two has been released, teasing Pennywise the Dancing Clown's terrifying return to the big screen.

Jessica Chastain plays a grown Beverly Marsh in the majority of the clip, which lasts almost three minutes.

Marsh can be seen returning to her hometown of Derry, Maine, where Pennywise terrorised her and her friends years prior.

Chastain's Marsh chats with a seemingly innocuous older woman who now lives in her childhood house – and turns out to be a much more terrifying entity.

James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone and Andy Bean star as grown-up members of the Losers Club, formerly the group of children who confronted Pennywise in the 2017 film (and in Stephen King's original novel).

Bill Skarsgård, of course, reprises his role as Pennywise in the film, which is set 27 years after the events depicted in the first movie.

The 2017 cast are also back as the Losers Club's younger selves, meaning Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jaeden Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Wyatt Oleff are all set to return.

It Chapter Two will be released on 6 September 2019.
