Your support makes all the difference.Superman actor Henry Cavill has joined the upcoming sixth instalment of the Mission: Impossible series, director Christopher McQuarrie announcing the news in a particularly original way.
"Say, @henrycavill. Had a thought. Curious if you're interested in a role in the 6th installment of Mission: Impossible. No pressure,” he wrote on Instagram.
Soon enough, Cavill replied “How can I say no to a man with such perfect hair,” to which the director wrote: “Excellent. Just a few caveats: must enjoy extreme heights, high speeds, motor vehicles of all varieties (especially aircraft), practical stunts, firearms, and sporadic exposition. All good?”
“Only if I get to fly for real,” Cavill wrote, McQuarrie responding: “I do believe I specified practical stunts. You in?”
The Justice League actor confirmed “Oh ok….. I'm in!” with McQuarrie concluding the correspondence with: “Outstanding. Welcome aboard. Your social media account will self-destruct in 5 seconds.”
Hollywood trades Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter have both confirmed the Cavill has signed up for instalment number six.
McQuarrie previously directed the fifth film in the Mission: Impossible series, Rogue Nation, which starred Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and Rebecca Ferguson. Only Rhames will not be returning for the sequel.
