Unsurprisingly, Marvel fans are exceedingly excited for the upcoming sequel, a recent report only adding fuel to the hype train.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an early version of the film has tested higher than any other Marvel film to date, scoring a perfect 100 with the selected audience.
Insiders told the publication that the unprecedented score beat previous high scores set by Iron Man 3 and Avengers, both of which were in the 90s.
Test scores are calculated by asking an audience to fill out a questioner with regards the film, ticking select box’s excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor.
While other studios often select members of the public from shopping centres or other areas, Disney only do “friends and families screenings” to avoid leaks. Therefore, the results cannot be compared with other studios’ films. Still, being the highest scoring film compared to other Marvel films is something for fans to be particularly excited over.
Interestingly, the report also details how various other films scored including Black Swan, the Oscar-winning film never scoring above 55. Other examples include Forrest Gump, which managed 88, and Deadpool, which hit 96.
Recently, the second trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was released and it was as epic as any Marvel fan would expect.
