Seth Meyers kicked off proceedings with an opening monologue that featured references to disgraced stars Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey as well as Donald Trump (you can find a compilation of his best jokes here).
The evening's biggest winners were TV show Big Little Lies and drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri which scooped four awards each.
